Most History Unsolved Murder Mystery

    The Atlas Vampire Case

Mystery Of World

The Atlas Vampire is the nickname given to the unknown assailant who committed the unsolved "Vampire Murder" (also known as the Vampire Murder Case) in Stockholm, Sweden in 1932.
In 1932 in Stockholm, Sweden, an unnamed 32-year-old prostitute was found dead approximately 48 hours after her murder. Though murders of prostitute weren’t that rare at the time, the woman who had been killed by a crushing blow to the skull had attracted significant media attention as it appeared in the autopsy note that the killer had apparently been drinking the woman’s blood. Due to the absence of forensic technology and the lack of witnesses, this spine-chilling mystery remained unsolved.

 The Black Dahlia
"The Black Dahlia" was a nickname given to Elizabeth Short, an American woman who was the victim of a much-publicized murder in 1947.
Hollywood's most famous murder case unfolded on January 15, 1947 when the raven-haired, 22-year-old actress Elizabeth Short was found dead on Norton Avenue between 39th and Coliseum streets in Los Angeles. Her body had been cut in half and appeared to have been drained of blood with precision. The murderer had also cut 3-inch gashes into each corner of her mouth, creating a spooky clown-esque smile.

Her body was found mutilated, sliced with surgical precision and drained of blood on January 15, 1947 in Leimert Park, Los Angeles, California. The oldest unsolved case in LA was the subject of widespread speculations that led to a number of suspects but no convictions.

Jack the Stripper

Jack the Stripper is the nickname given to an unidentified serial killer responsible for what came to be known as the London "nude murders" between 1964 and 1965 (also known as the "Hammersmith murders" or "Hammersmith nudes" case).

1888 was a bad year to be a prostitute. Between August 7 and November 10 of that year, five women were killed in the Whitechapel district of London's East End, their throats slashed and their bodies mutilated in a way that indicated they all met their fates at the hands of the same person. One victim's kidney was even mailed to the police, along with a series of taunting notes penned by someone calling himself Jack the Ripper. Serial murder was a relatively new phenomenon and the attacks were highly publicized. The law's failure to identify the killer led to such an outcry that both the home secretary and London police commissioner resigned in disgrace.

JonBenet Ramsey

JonBenet Patricia Ramsey (August 6, 1990 – December 25, 1996) was a six-year-old American girl who was murdered in her home in Boulder, Colorado, in 1996. Police found her body in the basement of the family home about eight hours after she was reported missing. She had been struck on the head and strangled

Almost twelve years have passed since Dec. 26, 1996, when John Ramsey, a wealthy software executive, found his 6-year-old daughter JonBenet dead in the basement of their Boulder, Colo. home. Eight hours prior, his wife Patsy had found a ransom note demanding $118,000 for their daughter's safe return. No call ever came from a kidnapper. So unraveled the saga of the young beauty queen whose murder has put a cloud over her entire family, the Boulder Police Department and the District Attorney in charge of solving the case. Investigators in Boulder — who were dealing with the city's first murder that year — failed to conduct a proper search of the house and even allowed friends of the family to walk in and out of the crime scene as the family and police waited for a ransom call.

The killer originated the name "Zodiac" in an August 7, 1969 letter to the local Bay Area press, which was just one in a series of taunting letters. These letters included four cryptograms Of the four cryptograms sent, only one has been definitively solved.

Top Celebrities Mysterious Deaths

www.google.com or http://mysteryofworldimaging.blogspot.in/

Celebrities live most of their lives in the public eye and often remain in the spotlight long after their deaths. Over the past few decades, some of the world’s most glamorous and famous stars have notoriously passed away from natural causes and illnesses, drug overdoses, car crashes, suicides and even murders.

Thanks to the media, the public is usually privy to the intimate details surrounding the passing of a celebrity. Often a deceased star’s most devoted fans struggle to deal with the fact that their idol is gone. The high profile deaths of some – and the abundance of details that often flood the media after they pass away – can lead to the rise of rampant public speculation and even conspiracy theories about the circumstances of the celebrity’s death.

Elizabeth Short – Died: January 15, 1947

Elizabeth Short: A beautiful 22-year-old woman who was found with her body sliced in half at the waist on January 15, 1947 has come to be known for her notorious nickname, The Black Dahlia.

Bruce Lee – Died: July 20, 1973

In 1973 the famous martial arts actor took a painkiller for a headache and laid down for a nap and never woke up. Doctors called his death a “death by misadventure” caused by a reaction to the medicine.  However, scientists and doctors disputed the circumstances surrounding his death, and his celebrity status combined with his untimely death (he was working on a movie at the time) fueled many theories about his passing. Some even called it a curse, especially after the accidental death of his son Brandon Lee in 1993 while Brandon was filming a scene for the movie “The Crow.”

Natalie Wood- Died November 29, 1981

The Hollywood starlet died in 1981 during a weekend on Catalina Island, California, with her husband, Robert Wagner. Her death was ruled an accidental drowning. However, many facts about her death are unknown because no one admitted to seeing how she entered the water. She went missing one night and her body was found floating a mile away from the island the next day. The coroner said that Wood had been drinking and might have slipped. In 2011, authorities reopened the investigation into her death following new information and changed the cause of her death from accidental drowning to “drowning and other undetermined factors.”

Brittany Murphy – Died: December 20, 2009

The 2009 death of the 32 year old movie star was declared a result of pneumonia, iron deficiency and drug overdose. However, her father and friends have publicly spoken up about concerns that there was something stranger about her death. Her father commissioned an independent lab to do tests on a strand of hair, which revealed that the presence of heavy metals in her body at the time of death were up to nine times higher than what is deemed “high” by the World Health Organization. Furthermore, her husband also tragically died only 5 months after her death from similar causes.

Marilyn Monroe – Died: August 5, 1962

Marilyn Monroe: The movie sex symbol’s sudden death at her Brentwood, California home was officially ruled a suicide after she overdosed on sleeping pills on August 5, 1962, but there has always been speculation surrounding the events of her death after reports circulated that many items were removed from her house. Wild theories have included murder by the mafia because of Monroe’s alleged affairs with President John F. Kennedy and his brother Robert, with JFK and Bobby possibly orchestrating the murder themselves because she threatened to reveal her sexual involvement with the politicians. Others think the 36-year-old Some Like It Hot star suffered an accidental drug overdose instead of committing suicide.

Most Unsolved Murder Mystery?!!

Amber Hagerman

Amber Rene Hagerman was just nine years old when she was abducted and murdered. Amber was riding her bike close to her grandparent’s home in Arlington, Texas on January 13, 1996 when she was snatched. Amber and her brother Ricky were riding around the block when they went a little further to an abandoned grocery store parking lot to ride on a ramp there that children often enjoyed riding on. Amber’s brother became worried that they were riding further than their mother had said to go so he told Amber he was returning home. Ricky started back home and Amber stayed for one more ride on the ramp. When Ricky got home the family asked about Amber and when he said that she had stayed a little longer the family sent him back to bring her home. Ricky returned, however, he could not find his sister. Jimmie Whitson, grandfather to Amber and Ricky jumped in to his truck and went to find her himself. At the parking lot Jimmie found a police car and pulled up next to it where the officer told him that a man close by had heard screaming and looked to see another man carrying a young girl in to his pickup truck. The man who lived close by had called 911 summoning the police officer but when the officer arrived at the scene all he found was a bicycle that Amber had been riding.

The Black Dahlia

The Black Dahlia is a nickname used to refer to Elizabeth Short, born in 1924 and murdered in 1947. The body of Short was discovered in Leimert Park in Los Angeles on January 15, 1947. The case of the Black Dahlia has been publicized in book and film form, most significantly for the sheer gruesome nature of the crime. The body of Short was discovered mutilated with a cut across her waist that was so deep that it sliced her in half. Short had been completely drained of blood, she was nude and the corners of her mouth had been slashed up to her ears. The nude body appeared to have been posed with her hands above her head and her elbows bent at right angles. The cause of death is stated to have been blood loss from the cuts to her face combined with shock that resulted from a concussion she received before her death.
There have been a handful of suspects in the case of the Black Dahlia; however, no one has yet to be convicted of the crime and as time passes it is increasingly unlikely that anyone will pay for the crime. The killer of Short is suspected to have contacted the newspapers on numerous occasions when he felt that the coverage of the murder was tapering off and once even mailed an envelope containing personal possessions of Short to prove his involvement in the case. The envelope also contained a small address book with the name “Mark Hansen” on the cover, the last individual known to have seen Elizabeth Short alive. Due to the sheer sensationalism of the case, over the years many people came forward claiming to have plaid a role in the death of Short; however, no one has ever been convicted of the crime.

 Arushi Talwar

The investigation of 14-year-old Aarushi Talwar's murder, who was found with her throat slit, presented years of twists and turns. While the domestic help, Hemraj was initially accused, the body of their Nepalese domestic help was also found within days. A long drawn out investigation saw confusion over evidence, accusations of her parents Rajesh and Nupur Talwar misleading investigators, and a dramatic trial by media (and now a Bollywood movie featuring Irrfan Khan), the court eventually ruled the parents guilty.

Hinterkaifeck

On the night of March 31, 1922, the six residents of Hinterkaifeck, a small farmstead in Germany, were murdered with a mattock (a tool similar to a pickaxe). The victims were Andreas and Cäzilia Gruber, their widowed daughter Viktoria, her children Cäzilia and Joseph, the maid, Maria Baumgartner. It was rumored that Andreas and Viktoria had an incestuous relationship, and that Joseph was their son. The Gruber’s earlier maid left the family six months earlier, having claimed the home was haunted. And days before the murder, Andreas told neighbors he’d discovered a strange set of footprints in the snow leading from the forest to the home, but not back. He’d also heard footsteps in the attic, and a set of keys went missing. Based on the crime scene found days after the murders, investigators believed the family was led one by one into the barn to be killed, before the murderer killed the maid and young Joseph in the house. More than 100 suspects were ultimately questioned, but none were ever convicted of the crimes.

Mad Butcher of Kingsbury Run

Also known as the Cleveland Torso Murderer, the Mad Butcher of Kingsbury Run was a serial killer active in Cleveland in the 1930s. The official victim count is 12, but investigators believe the true number is likely higher. The Mad Butcher was so named for beheading and dismembering his victims (beware the Google image search for this one; the above picture is a plaster cast of one victim’s head, but much more gruesome pictures exist), and sometimes castrating his male victims. Many of the victims were not found for many months (or even upwards of a year) after their murders; some were never identified as their heads were never found. Some suspected there was more than one “Mad Butcher,” but the case remains unsolved.

Mystery Of World?!! Most Mysteries Places On Earth.

Mystery Of World?!! Most Mysteries Places On Earth.

There are many unsolved mysteries in life even though science, technology, and research have come a very long way. Although we may demand a logical explanations for these mysterious things, as of now we will have to settle with mere speculations. Until these mysteries are resolved, enjoy our  greatest unsolved mysteries ever. Which one is your favorite unsolved mystery?

Superstition Mountain

The majestic monolith of Superstition Mountain is the world famous icon that separates urban luxury and wilderness adventure. At 3,000 feet high, Superstition Mountain seems to stand guard protecting the lore, myths, stories past and the spectacular Superstition Wilderness that still belongs to yesterday.
The Anjikuni Mystery
Legends of mysterious mass disappearances have cropped up all across the globe. Without a doubt, the most famous incident in North American history is the unknown fate of the citizens of Roanoke Colony, who were last seen alive in 1587, but an even more inexplicable case concerns the whereabouts of the over 30 men, women and children who allegedly vanished without a trace from an Inuit fishing village in the first half of the 20th Century.
 The Bermuda Triangle, Atlantic Ocean
Bermuda Triangle is the greatest unsolved mystery of the modern age. Also called Devil's Triangle. It is a triangular shaped area in the North Atlantic Ocean, from Bermuda Island to Miami, USA and Puerto Rico. Hundreds of people and numerous boats, ships and planes have disappeared inside this triangle. Reasons given for these disappearances vary from scientific to sheer myth. Here are 10 Shocking facts about Bermuda Triangle :

Bigfoot
We assume Bigfoot crossed the road to get to the other side, as the old joke goes, but with the enigmatic hominid, nobody knows for sure. Here's what we do know: On June 22, 2009, at around 6:30 p.m., a 19-year-old college student was driving on a curvy back road near Rhinebeck, N.Y., on the way to a rehearsal at a nearby performing arts center, according to the BFRO report. As he swerved to miss an object on the road — a shopping bag containing, oddly, an open cereal box and a small log — he glanced in his rearview mirror and saw someone or something darting behind his car, apparently to retrieve the bag.

The Bridgewater Triangle
THAT TRIANGLE off Bermuda gets more attention, but it turns out that Massachusetts has its own three-sided region of paranormal activity. A new documentary,
“The Bridgewater Triangle,”
chronicles decades of weird activity (UFO sightings; Bigfoot alerts; unexplained, bloodless cow slaughters) in a 200-square-mile area in southeastern Massachusetts. The Bridgewater Triangle is roughly defined by the towns of Abington in the north, Freetown in the southeast, and Rehoboth in the southwest, an area that encompasses the Hockomock Swamp and the “infamous” Freetown/Fall River State Forest. The well-produced trailer features a parade of old local newspaper headlines (“Searchers Baffled in Hunt for Girl”) along with interviews with cryptozoologists and testimony from local eyewitnesses, one of whom drops this incisive comment: “Whatever it is,” he says, “we keep talking about this region for some reason.”

Mystery of World?!!Most Mysteries Places On Earth.

The Taos Hum

In the small town of Taos, New Mexico, there is a certain buzz often heard on the horizon that can be compared to the sound of a distant diesel engine. Although it can be heard by the naked ear, various sound detection devices are not able to pick it up. This is known as the Taos Hum and up to this day, no one still knows how this sound is being created.

Oak Island Money Pit

Throughout history, we’ve never ceased to be enamoured with tales of buried treasure, secret inscriptions, and booby traps. But one of the most enduring treasure mysteries of all time comes from a tiny island off the coast of Nova Scotia in eastern Canada.
Oak Island is the home of what is informally known as the “Money Pit,” an incredibly deep hole of incredibly elaborate construction discovered in 1795.
Over two centuries of excavation have unearthed no treasure thus far, but what has been discovered is arguably just as fascinating. Underneath the surface of the pit are a series of wooden platforms, and even deeper, flooding mechanisms formed from multiple underground canals leading to water.

 Georgia Guidestones

Also identified as the American version of Stonehenge, the Georgia Guidestones located in Elbert County are shrouded in mystery, although they were erected only in 1979. Written on the walls are 10 “new commandments” written in English, Swahili, Hindi, Hebrew, Arabic, China, Russia, and Spanish although no one is sure why or for whom they were meant.

ICELAND'S VOLCANO

Bardarbunga created a 32 square mile lava field, which is the largest in Iceland since the Laki eruption in 1783, and the Icelandic Met Office says it is “probably the third largest lava field on Earth” since 1783. The gases released by the volcano have affected all of Iceland at one point or another, the first time that has happened in 150 years. The Met Office says the amount of sulfur released by this volcano may have exceeded that of any volcano on Earth of this particular type.

SIBERIAN SINKHOLES

A 115-foot hole was discovered in Siberia's Yamal peninsula — a name that means "end of the world" in the language of the area's indigenous inhabitants — after an unexplained explosion in July. Two other mysterious sinkholes popped up in Russia's north shortly after. Scientists believe gas explosions beneath the surface caused the sinkholes, but they haven't been able to confirm that theory.
In November, a team of scientists, a medic and a professional climber plunged into the sinkhole to learn more about it, but the cause of the deep holes is still unknown.

Mystery OF World?!! Most Mysterious Places on Earth

The Bermuda Triangle, Atlantic Ocean

The area referred to as the Bermuda Triangle, or Devil’s Triangle, covers about 500,000 square miles of ocean off the southeastern tip of Florida. When Christopher Columbus sailed through the area on his first voyage to the New World, he reported that a great flame of fire (probably a meteor) crashed into the sea one night and that a strange light appeared in the distance a few weeks later. He also wrote about erratic compass readings, perhaps because at that time a sliver of the Bermuda Triangle was one of the few places on Earth where true north and magnetic north lined up.

Roopkund  Lake Mystery, India

The human skeletons were rediscovered in 1942 by a Nanda Devi game reserve ranger H K Madhwal, although there are reports about these bones from the late 19th century. The skeletons are visible in the clear water of the shallow lake during a one-month period, when the ice melts. Along with the skeletons, wooden artifacts, iron spearheads, leather slippers, and rings were also found. When a team from National Geographic magazine retrieved about 30 skeletons, flesh was still attached to some of them.

Aokighara, Japan

Found at the base of Mount Fuji, Aokighara is probably the most renowned forest in all of Japan. This 3,500 hectare wide forest is thick with gnarled and twisted trees. It’s reportedly haunted, with legends of ghosts, demons and spirits surrounding the area. Sadly, it’s also the second most popular suicide spot in the world. More than 500 people have committed suicide there since the 1950s.

Caño Crystals, Columbia

Caño Cristales is a river located in the Serrenia de la Macerana region of Columbia. This isn’t just any river, it has been referred to as and “The Most Beautiful River in the World.” For much of the year it looks just the same as any other river, but for a short amount of time between September and November – in the transition period between wet and dry seasons – it transforms into a wash of color. The reds, pinks, blues, greens and yellows that adorn the river are actually unique types of flora growing on the riverbed.

Blood Falls, Antarctica

New work confirms zones of liquid salt water hundreds of meters below the bright red waterfall in icy Antarctica, known as Blood Falls.

Most people won’t see Blood Falls in person, but even in photographs, the sight is arresting: a blood-red waterfall staining the snow-white face of Taylor Glacier. Glaciologists and microbiologists have sought to determine what causes the mysterious red flow. They’ve concluded that the source is a subterranean lake rich in the iron that gives the water its red hue. Stranger still, recent research has revealed micro-organisms living 1,300 feet beneath the ice, sustained by the iron and sulphur in the water.
